Мonument to Alexander Suvorov in Suvorovskaya Square

There is Suvorovskaya Square between Mars field and Troitsky bridge, and in the center of this square there is the monument to generalissimo Alexander Suvorov in the character of Mars (Roman war god). The monument was opened in 1801 in the first death anniversary of grand general in Mars field. Then, in 1818 it was transfered closer to Neva river, in Suvorovskaya square. I understand that the picture of the monument should have been taken from the other side and not from its back. However, the sun had such a position that if the picture of the monument had been taken from the embankment side the monument would have been all black in the backlight. Therefore please do not blame me for the viewpoint that I chose.
