View from Zayachiy island to Vasilyevsky island and the fountain
In the western part of Zayachiy island where Petropavlovskaya fortress is located there is a very beautiful view from the neat embankment to the widest part (to my opinion) of the Neva river, the Spit of Vasilyevsky island and the new fountain constructed in the river. In the afternoon you have to look at the fountain against the sun, and building faces in Vasilyevsky island are all in shadow. However, the embankment and Petropavlovskaya fortress are very well lighted and look very nice.
