This is a unique bridge of Saint Petersburg which differ by its architecture from the others bridges over the Neva. It was built at the beginning of XX century. It used to be called the bridge of Peter the Great because it was built to bicentenary of Poltavskaya battle and then it was renamed in Bolsheokhtinsky bridge because of the name of the river falling into Neva not far from the bridge. That day I happened to be on the bridge for the second time. When I was there for the first time it was afternoon time but the sky was overcastted by the clouds and I couldn′t make a beautiful picture. This time it was quite late and the sun was too low that is why the right bank is too light and to tell more you can see only a lineament of Smolny palace :(
